Hello, we’re Glug
Two people, one corkscrew, a lot of opinions.
Glug started life as a set of tasting cards for wine nights with friends: big, bright cards with the grapes, the profile and a page of blobs to tick off what you could smell and taste.
This site is the same idea for everyone else. We write about wines we have bought and drunk, mostly the sort of bottles you can pick up for around twenty quid, with the occasional splurge. Every bottle gets the same treatment: notes on the nose and palate, the structure, the grapes and the story behind it, and a score out of 20.
Independent and honest
Nobody pays for a review here. If a bottle was a gift or a sample, the review says so. If it isn’t worth the money, the value score will tell you, because it is calculated rather than guessed.
